Terms / Course Requirements

  • As a pre-requisite to taking the Basic Rider Course, students must be able to ride and balance a pedal bicycle.  The pre-requisite for the Refresher Rider Course is successful completion of the Basic Rider Course (you must present a photocopy of your Basic Rider Course completion card). The pre-requisite for the Experienced Rider Course is either one year and 1,000 miles of riding experience or skillfully passing the Basic Rider Course.

  • To Graduate: Students must attend all portions of the classroom and riding sessions to graduate.  Due to RMV regulations and liability insurance restrictions, you cannot participate in the course if you miss any portion of the course.  Students must be on time for all class components (classroom and riding sessions) or they will be dismissed and forfeit their tuition.  To graduate the Basic or Experienced Rider Course, students must also pass a multiple-choice written exam and a riding skills evaluation.

  • To Receive your License: Students who graduate from the Basic or Experienced Rider Course (as described above) will receive a Certificate of Motorcycle Rider Education Training.  Graduates are exempt from the Registry of Motor Vehicles road test.  In order to receive the road test waiver, students must supply a photocopy of their learner's permit at the first class session.  Permits must not expire within two weeks after course completion.

  • The Basic, Refresher, and Experienced Rider Courses involve the risk of personal injury and the training can be physically and mentally demanding.  Also, the course is conducted in a group format with a ratio of 6 students per Rider Coach.  If students are not able to keep up with the pace of the course, or if they pose a hazard to themselves or others, they may be dismissed from the course.  If a student is dismissed, they will not receive a tuition refund.

  • Student-supplied motorcycles to be used in the Experienced Rider Course must pass a pre-ride inspection.

  • Cancellation / Reschedule Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule a class, follow the instructions below.
